Aggie Pennington
July 30, 1930 — October 26, 2011
Aggie M. Pennington, 81, of Bayard, WV died Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at home. She was born on July 30, 1930 in Vian, OK, she was the daughter of the late Westley and the late Mary (Whitewater) Gritts.
She was employed by home health as a caregiver. Aggie loved helping people and cooking. She was a member of Bayard United Methodist Church and the Cherokee Nation.
She is survived by her husband, Alvin Dale Pennington; a daughter, Trudy Gaither and husband Allen; a son, Charles Albert Overton, III; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Albert Overton, Jr. in 1966; a son, Stephen Alfred Overton in 1985; three sisters and three brothers.
Friends will be received on Saturday, from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 PM at the David A. Burdock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N. 2nd St., Oakland.
The funeral will be held 2 PM on Sunday, at Bayard United Methodist Church with Rev. Tommy McGinnis and Rev. John Wolfe officiating.
Interment will follow in the Bayard Cemetery.
