Barbara Ann Firl, 61, of Sugarlands, WV died April 3, 2013 at her home.
She was born May 4, 1951 in Randolph County a daughter of the late Charles Daniel Arnold and Stella Mae Sampson Arnold. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Firl. She is survived by 1 son, Adam Jonathon (Cassie) Firl, Sugarlands, WV, 3 daughters, Stella Lucille Firl, Davis, WV, Jane Ann (Ronald) Howlin, Stevensonville, MD, Vivetta Malie Cain, Davis, WV, 4 brothers, Leonard Lee Arnold, Holly Meadows, WV, Harry Allen Arnold, Kansas, Clyde Edward Arnold, Fork Mountain, Parsons, WV, John Arnold Jr., Sugarlands, WV, 4 sisters, Floda Ellen Anstine, Sugarlands, WV, Hellen Virginia Lyon, Gladstone, Missouri, Mary Louise Dumire, Petersburg, WV, Genevieve Streets, Clarksburg, WV, and 1 grandson, Leo Lester Firl. She was preceded in death by 1 brother, Charles Daniel Arnold, and 1 sister, Sara Mae Bolyard.
Ms. Firl worked at Cortland Acres Nursing Home in housekeeping for over 30 years. She was a member of FOE 936 Ladies Auxiliary and American Legion Post 071 of Oakland, MD.
Friends will be received on Saturday, April 6, 2013 from 5-8 PM at Hinkle Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 7, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Hinkle Funeral Chapel with Reverend Neil Parsons officiating. Interment will follow at Davis Cemetery. Hinkle Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
