Betty Moats

Betty Sue Moats, 73, of Aurora, WV, died January 12, 2022 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown. Betty was born on January 28, 1948 in Terra Alta, she was the daughter of the late John R. and Geraldine M. (Newell) Kelly. She operated Fairlea Restaurant in Aurora for many years, after it closed she worked at Walmart for 14 years. Betty enjoyed spending her time reading. She is survived by a daughter, Sheila Moats a son, Earl H. Moats, Jr. and wife Marylu all of Aurora; two sisters, Barbara Baker and Ellen Mayne and husband Clint; three brothers, John R. Kelly and wife Eva and Randy Kelly all of Terra Alta, Rick Kelly and wife Bev of Reedsville; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in by her husband, Earl H. Moats, Sr. There are no services scheduled at this time. Per her wishes she was cremated. The Hinkle-Fenner Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Moats family.
