Blanche Delaine Stemple, 91, of Aurora, passed away peacefully at her home on December 27, 2025. Born on July 8, 1934, in Aurora, she was the daughter of the late Freeman Dwight and Anna Philomenia (Shaffer) Fike.
Blanche graduated from Aurora High School and went on to embrace the role of housewife and homemaker with profound honor and dedication. She was a devoted member of Amboy United Methodist Church, where she faithfully offered her help with any event or activity, always ready to lend a hand. Blanche had a profound love for animals of all kinds, delighted in gardening and tending to flowers, cherished the family farm-where her loved ones continue to live-and thoroughly enjoyed shopping whenever the opportunity arose.
She is survived by her children, Renee Mullenax and husband Roger of Horshoe Run, Dennis Stemple of Terra Alta, and Patty Myers and husband Wickey of Aurora; grandchildren, Christopher Mullenax and wife Sara, and Joshua Mullenax and wife Liz; great-grandchildren, Kayden, Kayce, Vance, and Wyatt; and her sister, Dorthy Wiles of Aurora.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Kenneth Lawrence Stemple, to whom she was married on September 30, 1955, and her sister, Sandra Lewis.
