Bonnie Fitzwater

Bonnie O. (Paugh) Fitzwater, 91, of Oakland died on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at Garrett County Memorial Hospital. Born on July 5, 1924 in Deer Park, she was a daughter of the late William McKinley and Genevieve Nancy (Madigan) Paugh. Bonnie was a graduate of Oakland High School, co-founder of Fitzwater Furniture in Mt. Lake Park and was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Oakland. She is survived by a son, Gary L. Fitzwater and wife Jeannette (Rudy) of Oakland; three grandchildren, Adam Edward Fitzwater and Paige Rudy Fitzwater, both of Columbus, OH and Megan Summer Fitzwater of Oakland; and two sisters, Rose Alice Shaffer and Peggy Harvey, both of Oakland. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Hugh Fitzwater, in 1993; an infant sister, Dolly June Paugh; and a sister, Lois Lee Simmons. According to her wishes, private interment was in the Garrett County Memorial Gardens. A service to memorialize and celebrate Bonnie's life will be held in St. Matthew's Episcopal Church, Oakland on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at 2 PM. The C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., Oakland was entrusted with arrangements.
