Carol Elaine Adams

Carol Elaine (Anthony) Adams, 83, of Bayard, WV, passed away on October 9, 2026, at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV, after a short illness. Born on December 27, 1942, in Bayard, she was the daughter of the late Fritz and Gladys (Rodeheaver) Anthony.

Carol was a homemaker who loved her family. She was a loving mother, wife, grandmother, and aunt. She enjoyed getting visitors and would talk for hours. She enjoyed working her search word puzzles until her vision no longer allowed it. In her younger years, she was known well for playing the spoons and doing head stands! Her favorite thing to do was to boss her son Shawn around.

She is survived by her sons, Shawn Harvey and fiancé Heather of Webster Springs, WV, and Bobby Harvey and wife Missy of Mount Storm, WV; her step daughter, Catherine Zelba and husband Cary of Cincinnati, OH; her granddaughters, Christina Harvey and significant other Zach, and Kayla Kitzmiller and husband John; and several nieces and nephews, as well as a community and neighbors that knew her well. She will be truly missed by all.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert "Bob" Adams, and five sisters, Shirley, Lois, Donna, Ruby, and Linda.

Friends will be received on Saturday, October 17, 2026, from 12 PM - 1:30 PM, at the Fredlock & Fenner Funeral Homes, - Davis Chapel, 567 Thomas Ave., Davis, WV. A graveside service will immediately follow at the Bayard Cemetery.
