Edd graduated from Kenwood High School in Baltimore, Maryland, and built a successful career as an electrician for General Motors. In addition to his work at G.M., he operated his own contracting business, taking pride in his craftsmanship and problem-solving skills. Edd was a longtime member of the Mountain Lake Independent Baptist Church, where his dedication and strong convictions were well known. In his free time, he found great joy traveling with his wife, serving with his church, and being surrounded by his family.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Carolyn Sue (Sines) Davis; three children, Karen L. Bell and husband Dennis, Sharon J. Queen and husband Jeff, and Charles E. Davis Jr., "Chuck" and Tina Burleson; five grandchildren, Andrea Chryst and husband Nick, Jeffrey Queen, Megan Jones and husband Andrew, Katie Zaleski and husband Robert, Marc Queen and fiancé Chelsea King; great grandchildren, Brayden and Nathan Chryst, Isaac, Isaiah, A.J. and Malachi Jones, Tyson and Chase Zaleski, and Trevor and Owen Queen.
Edd will always be remembered for his love for Jesus and the joy he had in sharing Him with everyone he encountered. Though he will be greatly missed, his family finds comfort in knowing he is now at peace and rejoicing in the presence of his Savior, seeing Him face to face.
