Donald Lee Nine

Donald Lee Nine, 87, of Oakland, Maryland, passed away on June 25, 2026 at the Oakland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born on March 28, 1939, in Oakland, he was the son of the late Elmer Nine and Edith (Ritchie) Nine Gray.

Donald attended West Palm Beach College, where he obtained his Bachelor's Degree. He worked as an Aircraft Engineer and a Contractor for Lockheed Martin. He then pursued multiple entrepreneurships. He was a member of the Oak Park Church of the Brethren. He enjoyed playing the piano, was a music director for years, and he loved anything to do with cars.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Rachel (Sturdivant) Nine; two sons, Timothy L. Nine and wife Donna, and Christopher S. Nine; grandchildren, Karrie Lynn Perando, Timothy L. Nine Jr.; and great grandchildren, Kylee, Bentley, Abbey, and Auderiella.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a infant son Scott Nine.

Donald's wishes to be cremated were honored and no services are scheduled. The Fredlock & Fenner Funeral Homes, P.A., - Oakland Chapel, is honored to be serving the Nine family.
