Dora Lee (Simon) Clark, 79, of Kitzmiller, MD, has gone home to be with The Lord on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Ruby Memorial Hospital, surrounded by her family. Born September 6, 1946, in Shaw, WV, she was the daughter of the late Acie Zeewingle and Minnie Marie (Summerville) Simon.
She is also preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years, Donald Lee Clark Sr.; Four brothers, Henry, Oliver, Charles, and Acie Junior Simon; Four sisters, Catherine Hoye, Sarah Elbin, Virginia, and Lucy Simon; and one grandson, Dennis Garlitz Jr.
Dora was a member of the Hiway Assembly of God, and she loved going to church services and the Bible study group there. She got great pleasure watching Jimmy Swaggart and westerns on t.v. She adored her grandchildren with her whole heart. Her favorite pastime was watching them play during holidays, visits, and Sunday dinners at her house. She also really enjoyed going camping with her family.
Dora is survived by her three daughters, Lora M. Clark, Jeannie Tichnell and fiance Dean, and Betty J. Carr, and one son, Donald L. Clark Jr. and wife Ruby; Seven grandchildren, Angela Renee Hanlin and husband Richard, Bubba Tichnell and wife Mary, Scotty Tichnell and partner Molly, Linsey M. Ferguson and partner Justin, Amanda D. Garlitz and fiance Robert, Tara Lynn Clark, and James Clark; Fifteen great grandchildren and one great great grandson; Two sisters Mary E. Friend and Donna J. McCrobie; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends and family will be received on Thursday, May 14, 2026, from 12 to 2 PM at the Hi-Way Assembly of God Church, 3634 Kitzmiller Road, Kitzmiller, MD 21538. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM in the church with Pastor Carroll Harvey officiating. A graveside service will follow at the IOOF Cemetery in Elk Garden, WV. Expressions of sympathy may be directed to Fredlock & Fenner Funeral Homes, located at 21 N. 2nd Street, Oakland, MD 21550.
