Earl William Schrock

Earl William "Bill" Schrock, 82, of Oakland died on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at Garrett Regional Medical Center. Born on August 18, 1943, in Keyser, WV, he was the son of the late Gerald and Viola (Sines) Schrock.
He was a truck driver for many years, he then became a coal miner for ten years. In his retirement years, he was a mechanic for Mike's Auto Repair.
Bill was an amazing wood craftsman. He made chairs, bookshelves, wishing wells, baby cradles, and entertainment centers.
He loved working in his yard, bowling, watching westerns, sitting on his porch, and eating dinner with his family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Shirley (Dillsworth) Schrock; four daughters, Linda Lewis and husband Mike of Oakland, Carol Spiker and husband Lance of Swanton, Shirley Glotfelty and husband Ed of Oakland, and BJ Riggleman and husband Zane of Oakland; ten grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren, two sisters, Doris Evans and Sharon Hipp, both of Kearneysville, WV; a brother, Ronald Schrock of Oakland; and his dog, Jackie.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Connie Schrock.
Friends will be received at the Fredlock & Fenner Funeral Homes, P.A. - Oakland Chapel, 21 N 2nd St., Oakland, on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, from 10 AM to 12 PM. A funeral service will be held at noon with Pastor Barbara Fike officiating. Interment will follow in the Garrett County Memorial Gardens.
