Elaina Evans

Elaina Balogh Evans, 60, of Swanton died on Saturday, February 2, 2019, at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore. Born on August 16, 1958, in McKeesport, PA, she was the daughter of the late Gabor and Ada (Lyons) Balogh. Elaina had earned her Bachelor’s degree in nuclear medicine and last worked for Walmart in Oakland. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by her loving husband, John Evans; her children, Richard Hoover and wife Sarah, Samantha Hoover and Benjamin Hoover; an “adopted” grandson, Dylan Gibbs; a brother, Elson Balogh; two nieces, Jamie and Bettsy; and her mother in law, Joyce Evans. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Bryan Hoover and Eliott Hoover and two sisters, Debra Jones and Susan Myen. Friends will be received at the C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N 2nd St., Oakland on Wednesday, February 6th from 3 to 7 PM. According to her wishes, Elaina will be cremated after visitation.
