Ferol Ann Stickley

Ferol Ann Stickley, 88, of Oakland died on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at Garrett Regional Medical Center. Born on October 26, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Art and Lavina Mae Dorsey. 

In her younger years, Ferol was an operator for the phone company and the railroad. She also shared her talent as a cook.

She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Zabetakis and husband Thomas; grandchildren, Jennifer Fitzgerald and husband David, and Thomas M. Zabetakis and wife Jennifer; great grandchildren, Gavin, Sean, and Sophia Fitzgerald, and Tommy and Bradley Zabetakis; a brother, Jerry Poling and wife Mary; a nephew, Chris Poling; a niece and friend, Rhonda Meyer; and friend, Bill Lohr.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John H. Stickley, Sr., and one daughter, Karen L. Wilson.

A private service will be held with interment in the Garrett County Memorial Gardens.
