James Ford

James Frederick Ford, 67, of Friendsville, MD, passed away on August 19, 2025, at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. Born on June 21, 1958, in Oakland, MD, he was the son of the late James F. Ford Sr. and Nellie (Durr) Ford.

Jim worked for Bausch & Lomb and Garrett Memorial Hospital. He enjoyed camping, hunting, watching the Pittsburgh Steelers, spending time with his dogs and cats, and cherishing moments with his family and grandchildren.

He is survived by his two sons, Brandon Ford and James "Jim Bob" Ford, both of Oakland; grandchildren, Acelynn Ford and Jameson Ford; brothers, Michael Ford and Terry Ford; very special friends Snooks and Sheila DeWitt, the mother of his children; and friends, Dave Baker and John Zito.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ernie Durr, and a sister, Pam Ford.

Friends will be received on Friday, August 22, 2025, from 2 to 4 PM at the Fredlock & Fenner Funeral Homes, P.A. -Oakland Chapel, 21 N. Second St., Oakland. A funeral service will follow at 4 PM in the funeral home with Pastor Dan Jordan officiating.
