James Shaffer

James Kenneth Shaffer, 87 of Oakland, MD, passed away Thursday, May 26, 2011 at Cherry Hill Assisted Living.
Born July 2, 1923 in Crellin, MD, he was the son of the late Albert & Mary (Dewitt) Shaffer. He was also preceded in death by wife-Martha Jane (Bittinger) Shaffer, son-Kenneth "Fuzz" Shaffer. James was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
James was a retired bread man for Stroehmann.
Surviving are: son-James K. Shaffer & wife, Bonita, Oakland, MD and daughter-Jonna Kay Frazee & husband Michael, Oakland, MD; four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, May 28, 2011 at 3 p.m. in the Oakland Cemetery with the Rev. Marty Wilt officiating.
