Jeffery Lewis

Jeffery Roger Lewis, 55, of Oakland, MD, passed away peacefully on December 2, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on April 18, 1970, in Oakland, MD, he was the beloved son of Roger and Mary Lewis and a dedicated husband to Melinda Lewis. Jeff was a proud father to his children, Evan and Serena Lewis, and held a warm place in the hearts of his family, including his mother-in-law, Lois Evans. Jeff was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Lawrence Evans.

Throughout his life, Jeff was most passionate about his role as a husband and father. His family was always his top priority; he would do anything for them and cherished every moment spent with them. He enjoyed taking them on trips to amusement parks, zoos, museums, conventions, and concerts. He shared all his interests with them including fishing, NASCAR, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Star Trek. He loved supporting his children with their hobbies including the Country Explorers 4-H Club and the G-FORCE, NeXT GEN, and GaCo robotics teams. He aspired to provide his family with as many opportunities as he could and worked very hard to do so. He was so eager to tell everyone how proud he was of his family, and he always strived to be the best father he could be.

Despite the hardships he faced during his four-and-a-half-year battle with cancer, Jeff exemplified bravery and selflessness, teaching those around him the importance of hope and perseverance. His unwavering spirit and determination to remain present for his loved ones will forever be remembered.

Friends will be received at the Fredlock & Fenner Funeral Homes, P.A. - Oakland on Saturday, December 6, 2025, from 11 AM to 2 PM, immediately followed by a service honoring Jeff's life.

Jeff leaves behind a lasting legacy of love and dedication to his family and community. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Cindy's Fund, PO Box 182, Oakland, MD 21550 and Hospice of Garrett County, PO box 271, Oakland, MD 21550.
