Obituary

John "Bobby" Robert DiGioia, 71, of Oakland, passed away on July 23, 2026, with his family by his side. Born on August 10, 1954, in Cumberland, he was the son of Julius and Emma (Ward) DiGioia.

He was active with the members of Bruce High School Class of 1973 and planned many of their recent reunions. Bobby was a skilled and dedicated well driller who built a respected livelihood as the owner of Alleghany Well Drilling and Pump Service. Through his business, he provided essential water solutions and reliable service to countless families and properties throughout the region. A man of Catholic faith, Bobby lived with quiet conviction and found balance in the activities he loved. In his free time, he enjoyed skiing, hunting, water skiing, boating, riding motorcycles, and cooking, pursuits that reflected both his adventurous spirit and his appreciation for simple, hands-on pleasures.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Sharon "Ronni" (Kelley) DiGioia, to whom he was married on July 13, 1985; his three sons, Patrick Anthony DiGioia and wife Christine, Dylan Stephen DiGioia and wife Samantha, and Elliot William DiGioia; grandchildren, Emily Vale DiGioia, Margaret Neve DiGioia, and Dahlia Robin DiGioia; and siblings, Julie Ann McKenzie and husband Stephen.

Bobby's request for cremation was honored. Friends will be received on Thursday, July 30, 2026, from 4 to 7 PM, at the Fredlock & Fenner Funeral Homes, P.A. - Oakland Chapel. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, July 31, 2026, at 11 AM in the funeral home. Friends will be received one hour prior to the service.

The Fredlock & Fenner Funeral Homes are honored to be serving the DiGioia family.
