Lyle Paul Weimer

Lyle Paul Weimer, 83, of Aurora, West Virginia, went to see our Lord and Savior on June 20th, 2026. Born August 8th, 1942, Lyle was the son of the late Paul Edward Weimer and Alma Arlena (Jones) Weimer.

Lyle was raised on a farm in Gorman, Maryland, where he learned the values of hard work and dedication. He worked at Sterling Processing and Allegany Coal. He retired after 30-plus years with Buffalo Coal Co. He spent his retirement hunting, cutting firewood, restoring and playing with his antique tractors, and mostly just spending time with his family.

He is survived by his children, Crystal Johnston (Kenneth), Todd Weimer (Cheryl), Kassandra Weimer, Kayla Marler (Blaze), Isaac Weimer, and fourteen grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren; Thelma Wilt (Earl), Lola Williams, Darl Weimer (Louise), Darlene Reams (Jerry), and Wanda Foley (John).

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Arlena Arvella Weimer, brothers-in-law David Lee Shaeffer and Wayne David Williams, and two grandchildren.

Friends will be received on Friday, June 26th, from 5 PM to 8 PM, at the Fredlock and Fenner Funeral Homes, P.A., Oakland Chapel, 21N 2nd St., Oakland, MD, 21550. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 27th at 11 AM, in the funeral home with Pastor Carl Fike officiating. Friends will be received one hour prior to the service. Private interment will follow in the Maysville Cemetery.
