Mary Buckley

Mary Frances Giannantonio Buckley, 83, of Thomas, WV passed away on Saturday April 14, 2012.

She was born December 4, 1928 in Thomas, a daughter of the late Donato G. and Annunciata K. Monda Giannantonio. She was preceded in death by her late husband, Wilbur R. Buckley in 1995; they were divorced at the time of his death; also 6 brothers, two sisters and three grandchildren are deceased. She is survived by four sons, William P. (Shirley) Buckley of Hampstead, MD; Daniel P. (Sharon) Buckley of Elkins, WV; Ronald S. (Kaye) Buckley of Fairmont, WV; Scott A. Buckley of Hambleton, WV and one daughter, Marietta Buckley of Annandale, VA, one brother, Danny (Cindy) Giannantonio of New Bern, NC, ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Mary was a loving and caring housewife, mother and grandmother. Mary enjoyed Bingo, watching T.V., game shows and spending time with family. She was a lifelong member of the Saint Thomas Aquinas Parish of Thomas and of the Society of St. Thomas Women, where she was very faithful to her Catholic religion. She worked as a teacher's aide at the Davis-Thomas Grade School and as a Recorder/Clerk for nearly twenty years at the Thomas City Hall. Mary requested a closed casket but friends and loved ones can pay their respect at the Hinkle Funeral Home on Tuesday April 17 from 4-8 PM. A Rosary service will be held at 7:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday April 18 at 11:00 AM at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church with Father Timothy Grassi as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Thomas, WV. Hinkle Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. hfh@frontiernet.net
