Nicholas Theodore, 88, of Hurricane, WV, passed away on July 18, 2025. Born on December 23, 1936, in Fallowfield Township, of Washington County, PA, he was the son John Tividor and Anna Ondich.

Nicholas dedicated over 30 years of his life to the United States Marine Corps, exemplifying unwavering commitment and service. As a highly respected instructor, he shared his expertise at the Orientation School, Special Warfare School, and NBC (Nuclear, Biological, Chemical) Identification, Detection, and Decontamination courses, shaping the skills and readiness of countless Marines. He also played a key role in supporting the Sergeant Major Seminars, contributing to leadership development within the Corps. Beyond active duty, Nicholas remained deeply connected to the military community as a proud member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), American Legion, Marine Corps Association, and Marine Corps Heritage Foundation, where he continued to honor and preserve the legacy of the Marines while fostering camaraderie among veterans.

He is survived by his children, Lisa A. Theodore of Hurricane, WV, Nicholas Theodore Jr., and wife Gail of Cincinnati, OH, and Rodney D. Hardesty and wife Nida of Greenville, SC; several grandchildren; and special nieces and nephews, Lynn Sewell and husband Spencer, John Tividor, Karen Brown and husband Jim, and Ruthie Lucas.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth (Green) Theodore.

Friends will be received on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, from 4 to 6 PM, at the Fredlock & Fenner Funeral Homes, P.A. - Oakland Chapel. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at 11 AM in the funeral home with Pastor Barbara Rexroad officiating. Interment will follow in the Tasker Family Cemetery.
