Shirley Anderson

Shirley Joan Anderson, 88, of Kitzmiller, passed away on June 15, 2025. Born on November 23, 1936, in Oakmont, WV, she was the daughter of the late Wylie William and Velma Arbutus (Hipp) Anderson.

Shirley worked for the housekeeping department at Valley Health Winchester Medical Center and Oakland Nursing and Rehab. In her spare time, she loved fishing, taking long drives, and spending time with her family reminiscing about the days gone by. She was a member of the Blaine Full Gospel Church.

She is survived by her grandchildren, Jessica Seib, Erin Strubin, Richie Orr, Chanda Dawson and Jonathan Armstrong; eight great grandchildren; and siblings, Bob Anderson, Helen Crouse, Janet Dye, Thelma Lacy, Barbara Welch, Ron Anderson and Nancy Brady.

She was preceded in death by two children, Patricia Darlene Anthony and Timothy Franklin Armstrong, and siblings, Kenny Anderson, Alvin Anderson, Phyllis Flanagan, Eileen Critcher, Wylie Anderson Jr., Bernadine Dedmon, Allan Eugene Anderson.

Friends will be received on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, from 5 to 7 PM, at Fredlock & Fenner Funeral Homes- Kitzmiller where a funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 19, 2025, at 11 AM with Reverend Virginia Tichinel officiating.
